Kurios
After a gig yesterday morning I sped over to Atlantic Station to see Cirque du Soleil's Kurios with my mom. It was our early Mother's Day date, something we both loved, and an absolutely incredible show. The artists of Cirque du Soleil are always captivating, and without saying too much this show did a great job of playing with perspectives and testing limits. I was so pleased.
Side note: you know when you've dated someone for a long time and you mess up in a fairly big way, and you want to get on their good side again? And you know you have to do something special that you know they'll love? I realized that people can easily get on my good side by taking me to see Cirque du Soleil or a show of similar quality. Money can't buy my love, but a ticket to Cirque is a ticket to (at least partial) forgiveness in my eyes.
Anyway, it was great. And we got some great chicken afterwards. Have you ever had a thick waffle infused with bacon and cheese? I have. It's life-changing.
It was a good day.
